Dos Presos Venezolanos cuenta su vida a traves de un Blog
Encuentro esta noticia en un Periodico Venezolano:
Dos presos liberan sus penas a través de un blog 
El año pasado decidieron asumir una identidad distinta, una que les permitiera seguir conectados con lo que pasa afuera. Desde la misma celda y con seudónimos fáciles de reconocer en la red, el Preso venezolano y el Preso venezolano 2, crearon un blog para exorcizar su cotidianidad en la cárcel. Luego colocaron imágenes en Youtube para denunciar lo que viven tras las rejas, y armaron una página en Facebook, que pronto tuvo 500 amigos.Hace poco, y para evitar que los rastreen, la sustituyeron por otra con un perfil falso. Más de 220 personas figuran entre sus amigos, incluyendo otros internos como Iván Simonovis, Lázaro Forero y varios personajes públicos (periodistas, abogados, organizaciones de derechos humanos, activistas del movimiento estudiantil).Ahora están en prisiones distintas, pero eso no impide que se hablen cuando quieran por teléfono y alimenten a diario sus páginas en el ciberespacio. Están por lanzar una revista digital y todos los días chatean usando varios operadores en Internet.Vitrina cibernéticaNo es descabellado que en un país como Venezuela exista un caso como este: recluso con celular, blog, Facebook, cuenta en Youtube y acceso a chat.Primero, porque en las cárceles criollas penetran desde armas militares hasta la tecnología de última generación. Segundo, porque este país es altísimo consumidor de herramientas tecnológicas.Según la Comisión Nacional de Telecomunicaciones y los estudios de Tendencias Digitales, 98% de los venezolanos posee celular y 20% se conecta siempre a Internet (casi 6 millones de personas). Sólo el año pasado, el uso de Facebook aumentó 1.200%.Estos datos del mercado local pueden extrapolarse a la realidad carcelaria. La mayor parte de los reclusos mantiene un celular y algunos se las ingenian para conectarse a Internet (pagando "condominio" por esos servicios, por supuesto).El Gobierno emprendió un plan de formación tecnológica en varios planteles y ha instalado infocentros en las cárceles de Tocuyito, Guárico y Los Teques. Sin embargo, los internos buscan la manera de conectarse desde otros recintos. Varios le han agarrado el gusto a la informática, como el Preso venezolano y el Preso venezolano 2.
En el blog, creado en agosto de 2008, difunden desde artículos de opinión (escritos por ellos, por "corresponsales de otras prisiones", por especialistas), leyes, informes actualizados de la situación penitenciaria, noticias y videos de denuncias, hasta imágenes de masacres carcelarias.Los internos justifican -en una llamada en conferencia desde sus celulares- su osadía cibernética con una frase lapidaria: "Abrimos esa vitrina porque nadie nos para bolas". Dicen ser la voz de los 24.000 reclusos que habitan hoy en las cárceles venezolanas."Imagina estar encerrado los 365 días del año. Uno aquí puede sucumbir a la delincuencia, a las armas, a la droga. Antes de que el sistema carcelario nos dañe, decidimos enfocarnos en la tecnología".

Jaime Saenz (1921 - 1986)
Jaime Saenz Nació en 1921 en La Paz y falleció en 1986 en la misma ciudad. Es uno de los poetas más destacados de Bolivia, y uno de los más profundos. Su vida y su poesía van a la par en la exploración del espíritu humano.
A largo de su vida escribió numerosas obras de poesía y narrativa. Su novela Felipe Delgado (1979) es una obra monumental sobre el sub-mundo de la ciudad de La Paz, pero no fue su única incursión en la narrativa pues también publicó relatos y novelas cortas en los siguientes libros: Imágenes paceñas (1979), La Noche (1984), Los cuartos (1985), La piedra imán (1989), Los papeles de Narciso Lima Achá (1991) y Obras inéditas (1996), las dos últimas publicadas después de su muerte. Sus libros de poesía son: El escalpelo (1955), Aniversario de una visión (1960), Visitante profundo (1964), Muerte por el tacto (1967), Recorrer esta distancia (1973), Bruckner. Las tinieblas (1978), Al pasar un cometa (1982).
No lo conoci en el Colegio, ni en la universidad ni en ningun lado pero cada vez oigo mas de la obra de este celebre Poeta Paceño Boliviano, espero un dia leer una de sus obras....

Cirujanos usan Twitter durante las operaciones
El sitio online de microblogging tiene multitud de usos, más o menos prácticos, pero en cuanto a uso curioso, destacamos el que le da el Henry Ford Hospital. Los cirujanos ofrecen de forma actualizada el estado de la operación.
El servicio es ofrecido a través de Twitter, mediante el canal oficial HenryFordNews. El jefe de cirujía del hospital, el Dr. Craig Rogers, ha afirmado que la intención de usar Twitter la vez inicial era dar a conocer a la gente que un tumor podía ser eliminado sin quitar completamente un riñón.
El co-fundador del sitio web changehealthcare.com, Christopher Parks, ha afirmado que “hacer eso elimina una barrera real de comunicación y ayuda a hacer algo que da miedo mucho más comprensible“.
Según parece, la próxima operación-Twitter se llevará a cabo el 6 de marzo.

DETROIT, Michigan (CNN) -- It's 7 a.m. at Henry Ford Hospital, and surgeons are preparing to remove a cancerous tumor from a man's kidney.
It's potentially a risky surgery, but everything's ready: The doctors and nurses are in the operating room, the surgical instruments are sterilized and ready to go, and the chief resident is furiously Twittering on his laptop.
That's right -- last week, for the second known time, surgeons Twittered a surgery by using social-networking site Twitter to give short real-time updates about the procedure.
Following the February 9 operation online were other doctors, medical students and the merely curious."Here's something different: HenryFordNews is live tweeting surgery today, getting some buzz, too," wrote one Twitter participant from Massachusetts.
"I find this fascinating!" tweeted another Twitter user from Swansea, United Kingdom.
"It's an interesting use of technology, but I can't help but feel a bit 'eeewww!' about this," wrote a third tweeter from New York.
Why twitter a surgery?
Whether it's new and cool or merely yicky, observers say there's no question that more and more doctors -- and patients -- will be sharing the blow-by-blow of medical procedures on sites like Twitter and Facebook.
Dr. Craig Rogers, the lead surgeon in the Henry Ford surgery, said the impetus for his Twittering was to let people know that a tumor can be removed without taking the entire kidney.
"We're trying to use this as a way to get the word out," Rogers said.
Observers say Twittering about a procedure is a natural outgrowth of the social networking media revolution.
"Doing this removes a real communication barrier. It helps make something scary much more comprehendable," said Christopher Parks, co-founder of the Web site changehealthcare.com. "It brings us closer together and makes us more engaged."
Four months ago, Park's colleague, Robert Hendrick, tweeted his own varicose vein removal surgery here as it was happening (he was, obviously, under local anesthesia).
"It redirected my attention and allowed me to minimize some of the nervousness around what was going on. It felt like I had family and friends there to support me," Hendrick wrote in an e-mail.
"I wanted a record for other people who might be interested in the same surgery," added Hendrick, who also posted photos and video of his surgery. "It later allowed me to connect with others with the same issues."
As time goes by and the younger generation moves into medicine, expect even more sharing online of private medical procedures, Parks says.
"Newer and newer generations are used to putting their life online," he said. "This generation shares everything."
"Gosh, this is big"
Twitter users -- those "tweeple" -- who kept up with the Henry Ford procedure online got to share some medical drama in real time. (You can read the "Tweetstream" or watch video of the tumor removal on YouTube).
As Rogers got closer to the tumor, he realized it was far larger than it had appeared on a CT scan, and he wondered out loud whether he would have to remove the entire kidney -- something he'd been trying to avoid.
"Gosh, this is big," he said to his colleagues in the operating room. "Could I have picked a harder case for this?"
As Rogers worked away on his robotic machinery, the chief resident, Dr. Raj Laungani, Twittered: "Dr. Rogers is saying because the tumor is so large he may have to do a radical (total) nephrectomy."
After conferring with Laungani and others in the operating room, Rogers decided he could remove just part of the kidney. Then came another challenge: In a surgery like this one, doctors have to restrict blood flow to the kidney with clamps while they remove the tumor.
Those clamps then have to be removed within 30 minutes so the kidney isn't damaged by the lack of blood. iReport.com: Would you allow your surgeon to "tweet"?
"The goal is to keep the clamp time below 30 minutes," Laungani Twittered. "25 minutes left!!!"
Approximately 25 minutes later, Laungani shared his relief with all of Twitterville: "Tumor is excised, bleeding is controlled, we are about to come off clamp," he wrote.
In the end, Rogers had the last tweet. "The robotic partial nephrectomy was a success," he wrote. "Thank you for joining us today."

Informática móvil tiene mejor con los componentes más ligeros, más chips y procesadores más rápidos. Pero el talón de Aquiles de un ordenador portátil se ha mantenido la batería. Así que aquí se lo vamos a buscar formas de aumentar la duración de la batería portátil.
